  • Banana

These are also an excellent addition to a diet that aims to reduce stress because they are readily available and also low in calories. Serotonin production is decreased because of a deficiency in Vitamin B6. As long as bananas are a regular part of one’s diet, individuals will be able to maintain healthy levels of Vitamin B6, which ensures the production of serotonin. Furthermore, they also contain potassium that can be immensely beneficial in reducing blood pressure.

  • Swiss Chard

Hence, even though a cup of green tea contains more caffeine than coffee, the stimulant can be countered by L-theanine for promoting feelings of relaxation and joy amongst people.
